I have to start off this post by gushing about my class. Parents, you have some amazing kids and I am so lucky to have these amazing people this year. I think 5/6G is by far the best class...but maybe I biased. :)
We had a successful first week and are working towards building what I believe is an amazing classroom culture. Next week we are going to start digging into content and shifting gears. The first week is so important for establishing relationships and routines, and I believe we did an amazing job in only 4 short days. Reminder: Toonie Tuesday will be this coming Tuesday. Your child can buy a frozen treat for $2 and all proceeds go to the Grade 6 camp. There will be both dairy and non-dairy options, all are nut-free. Please check your parent portal on PowerSchool and sign any forms that are outstanding. Without these forms your child will miss out on valuable learning & culture building experiences. Have a great weekend! Ms. Green

I am so excited about this new class. What an amazing group of kids!
Today we spent time getting to know each other, going over expectations, playing games and growing as a class community. I believe it was a complete success. Parent's, you have your selves some fantastic kids and I can't wait to get to know them throughout the next 10 months. You will start to see handouts coming home over the next few days. Please go over them with your child and return any that need to be returned ASAP. You will also need to keep an eye out for any forms that need to be signed on your Parent Portal in Powerschool. It is important we are able to get all forms signed and returned by Friday so your child can fully participate in all activities. If you have any questions, please let me know. Ms. Green |
AuthorI was a child who struggled in school. I believed I couldn't learn because I didn't understand what was being taught. Now I know that it was not the content I struggled with, but how it was being presented to me. I have my own unique learning style and once I discovered this, my passion for knowledge ignited. I believe in the importance of celebrating our diversity and strive to stir up the passion for lifelong learning in all my students. ArchivesCategories |
